How to connect QuickBooks with Google Sheets step by step

Reading time: 7 min Updated: July 2, 2026

1. Options for syncing

There are three paths: manually export from QuickBooks (slow, error-prone), use third-party connectors, or automate with a service that updates your sheets automatically.

2. Initial setup

Connect your QuickBooks account, choose the chart of accounts and define which sheets you want to feed (P&L, balance sheet, transactions). The first setup defines the rest of the process.

3. Maintenance and verification

Review monthly that the totals in Sheets match QuickBooks. Synchronization reduces error but does not eliminate it: a quick reconciliation at each close is good practice.
